Palak Paneer is spicy
Indian Sabzi. Palak Paneer is making by Palak called spinach (palak) with gravy
and with small cubes of paneer. Palak Paneer is beautiful and nutritious
without unnecessary fat. You can enjoy Palak paneer with roti, naan, jeera
rice.
Ingredients for Palak Paneer
Spinach/Palak(fresh): 1
bunch
Paneer: 200 gms
Leaf/Tej patta: 1 bay
Green Chilies (chopped): 1
or 2
Ginger (roughly chopped): half
piece
Onion (finely chopped): 1
Tomato (chopped): 1
Garlic (chopped): 4-5
Cumin seeds: ¾ Tea spoon
Turmeric powder: ¼ Tea
spoon
Red Chili powder: ½ Tea
spoon
Garam masala powder: ½ Tea
spoon
Dry Fenugreek leaves: 1
Tea spoon
Cream: 1 or 2 Table spoon
Ghee: 2 Table spoon
Asafoetida: pinch
Salt as per taste
Water as per requirement
Method How to Make Palak Paneer
Step-1:
Wash
palak in water. Boil water in a pan with some salt. Switch off the flame and
add the Palak leaves in the hot water. Close with a lid and let the Palak
leaves assemble in the water for 2-3 minutes.
Step-2:
Drain
and immediately add the leaves in a pan or bowl containing ice cold water.
Step-3:
Blend
the palak with ginger, garlic and green chilies make puree.
Step-4:
Take
a pan, heat oil, fry cumin , add bay leaves and onions, now add garlic and tomatoes
fry them until Tomato become soft.
Step-5:
Add
T turmeric powder, red chili powder and asafetida. Stir them for few seconds.
Step-6:
Add
palak puree, some water, Boil for 7 Minutes. Now add salt and garam masala.
Step-7:
Add
Paneer cubes, cream and stir.Cook for 30 seconds.
Step-8:
Add
Dry Fenugreek leaves and stir.
Step-9:
Decorate
with Butter or cream and serve it with jeera rice, roti , naan.
Additional
Tips
Use Paneer cubes after little
fry in oil.
