of Batata Vada Recipe
Potatoes: 500 Grams
Chana flour: 150 Grams
Coriander leaves (chopped):
3 Table spoon
Rice flour: 4 Tea spoon
Chilli-ginger paste: 2 Tea
spoon
Sugar: 2 Tea spoons
Arrow-root flour: 2 Tea
spoons
Til: 1 Tea spoon
Garam masala: 1 Tea spoon
Cumin seeds: ½ Tea spoon
Citric acid: ½ Tea spoon
Red chilli powder: ½ Tea
spoon
Turmeric powder: ¼ Tea
spoon
Cashewnuts: a few
Raisins: A few
Oil for frying
Salt as per taste
Method
of How to make Batata Vada
Step
1: Boil
potatoes and mash well.
Step
2: Take
oil in kadhai, add cumin seeds, after crackling add chilli-ginger paste, coriander
leaves, citric acid, sugar and arrow-root flour.
Step
3: After
cool, add mashed potatoes.
Step
4: Add
salt, cashewnuts, raisins and spices. Make small bolls from the mixture.
Step
5: Take
chana flour in bowl, add salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, rice flour.
Step
6: Dip
the balls in this batter and fry them, in hot oil.
Step 7: Serve hot with imli chutney.
