Batata nu shaak also known as Potato sabji. Potato sabji is typical
Gujarati’s Sabji which is made from potatoes with soupy gravy without onions
and garlic. Potato sabji make great combination with puri and vaghareli
khichdi.
Ingredients for Potato sabji
Potatoes: 5 to 6
Oil: 3 Tablespoon
Mustard seeds: ½ Teaspoon
Asafetida: a Pinch
Turmeric powder: ½ Teaspoon
Red chili powder: 2 Teaspoon
Dhana jeera powder: 2 Teaspoon
Garam Masala: 1 Teaspoon
Jaggery: 2 Tablespoon
Amchur powder: 1 Teaspoon
Salt as per Taste
Method for How to Cook Potato sabji
Step 1: Cut the potatoes into small small square pieces.
Step 2: Take oil in pan, mustard seeds, asafetida, ½ tea spoon red chili powder,
garam masala and ¼ tea spoon turmeric powders.
Step 3: Add potatoes pieces.
Step 4: Add salt and water and cook for while.
Step 5: After gravy is thick, decorate with coriander leaves on top and serve it.
